Copernicus and the trial of Galileo

Geocentric is when people believed that the earth was the center of the universe and everything revolved around it. This theory was embraced by Aristotle and Ptolemy. They thought for hundreds of years that the earth was the center. They thought that every planet revolved around the earth including the sun. They thought this because when they looked up into the sky, they saw that the stars and planets went around the earth.

Heliocentrism is the way we see the universe today in modern society. The Sun stays in the center where the planets revolve around the Sun's orbit. This Hypothesis was created by a Polish mathematician named Nicolaus Copernicus. He noticed that the earth stood still but over the course of the year, he saw different planets going in different directions ( because the earth moves faster than most planets).

The Church did not like how he thought so they put him on trial for false dialouge and the put him on house arrest. Galileo belived in his studies and smarts. and the church belived in the bible

Scientific Revolution: The Scientific Method

The Scientific method has five steps. First step is to of-course state your theory. Then you have to
test your theory. With that test, you can further build onto your theory and make it better. Then with that
you can either test or analyze your results and write feedback for yourself if you are going back for more
tests.
The Scientific Method is a way to test out theories and hypotheses by doing a series of test. In the 1500's , during the scientific revolution, New scientists used the scientific method to test out old ideas and used the method to see if the actually worked. Aristotle's theories were put to the test by Isaac Newton and Galileo. Galileo tested out Aristotle's theory of " Heavier objects fall faster than lighter objects" by making his hypothesis, testing it then building it up, He tested by throwing weights off the leaning tower of Piza. his data show that it doesn't matter how heavy it is it will fall at the same speed.

The Scientific method was also used by the famous physicist Isaac Newton. He explained the laws of physics and paved the way for modern understanding of physics. Isaac Newton also disproved another of Aristotle's theories. Aristotle said that one set of physical laws governed the universe and that another set took over the earth. Newton proved that wrong with his research testing and analysis that on set of laws governed the earth + anything in the universe and beyond.

Evolution VS Creation

Evolution Is a theory made famous by Charles Darwin. Evolution is the theory that all living organisms were created by natural selection. We Evolved and adapted to our environments and that is how we have gotten our traits. Basically, Darwin thought that all life came from one common ancestor and for us that is the primate/monkey.

The Thought of Creationism is the theory made famous by the Bible. It is thought that all life has been created by One Being named God. Creationism is most remembered from the Seven days it took god to create it. The Bible also talks about " Adam And Eve" the first humans in existence.Creationism is followed by Christians and those who go to church every weekend.

My Opinion is that i follow Evolution. The thought of creationism does not make sense because i heard in the bible, God created plants and vegetables before he created sunlight which makes no sense because plants cannot live without sunlight. Also I like the theory of Evolution because it makes plenty of sense. It proves how we adapt to our environment and how we came to be.
